Picture Perfect Packages!

The smaller gold bells on left are made from 4" doilies

White Paper Lace bells Perfect for Weddings or Showers!

Easy and inexpensive festive addition to chairs

Or hang from a chandelier/

On Window

Here are the basic supplies you will need:
5" Paper Doilies (for small bells) (each doily makes 2 bells)
10" Paper Doilies (for the larger "wedding bells")
Tape regular or double sided
Paper Glue (if you would like to add a backing)
Construction paper or wrapping paper etc.
Optional: Glitter - more ribbons etc!

If you would like to back your bells and make a bit sturdier use construction paper wrapping paper.
Glue the doilies down and let dry.
After glue has dried - cut doilies out.

Fold doily in half - and cut along the crease.
Now you are ready!
Simply roll the half doily in a cone.
I used regular tape on the outside of the cone for this example.
But you can use double sided tape if you chose, so that it does not show.

Just about ready!

Make a Wedding Shower Party Treat Goodie Gift Favor Bag from Wrapping Paper, Doilies or anything you can fold

These treat/favor bags are simple to make from any type of paper. Your options are limited
only by your imagination.

For this project you will need:
  • Paper - start with 8x11 (regular copy paper size)
  • Double sized tape
  • Template for bottom fold (I used a business card)
  • Scissors
  • Ribbon (optional)
  • Doily (optional)

Lay paper flat Long ways

Fold each side to slightly overlap in the center.

Use double sided to tape to attached the sides.

For the bottom fold - Hold a template (I used a business card)

Fold up the bottom edge.

Open the fold that was just made.

Fold in each "side"  toward the center

Fold the top edge towards the center

Use double sided tape to "seal" the bottom edges together.

Follow the same steps with a 10x10 paper lace doily

The simplicity of the design makes this pretty accent  perfect for Weddings, Showers or Engagement Partys!

A snap to make but makes a great impact!

To make as pictured:
  • 1 - 9.5 paper lantern
  • 1 - 5 inch white lace paper doily
  • 2 - 6 inch red lace paper heart doilies
  • 2 - 4 inch white paper heart doilies
  • 4 - foil heart stickers
  • 3 feet of red ribbon
  • 2 feet of white wire edge ribbon
  • and of course double sided tape!

Use the 5" inch doily and tie to the bottom of the red ribbon.

Next line up the 6" red doily and the 4" white doily
Attach to ribbon with double sided tape -
Place second doily on top of first taped doilies

Add foil stickers if desired

Cut the red ribbon about 8 inches above the top doily - so you have "room" to tie to lantern.

Tie the wire edge white ribbon into a bow about the top of the Red Ribbon.
Tie  to lantern

Make an easy paper doily banner!
The banner I've made for this example uses graduated sizes to create a "swag" effect, but you can use all one size or alternate sizes.  This is a very easy project to customize

You will need to make this 87" inch banner:
  • 10 feet of ribbon or string
  • 1 14" inch round paper doily
  • 2 12" inch round paper doilies
  • 2 10" inch round paper doilies
  • 2 8" inch round paper doilies
  • 2 6" round paper doilies
  • double sided tape (of course)
  • Scissors
  • Wide ribbon or balloons for accents

Take each doily and fold perfectly in half

I try to match the "pattern" from each side to ensure I've gotten them folded nicely in half.

All folded and ready to taped "over the ribbon".

I unrolled about 10 feet of ribbon from the spool and started working in the center.

Unfold the Largest doily you will be using for the center.
Place several pieces of double sided top along one side of the fold inside the doily.
Lay the ribbon along the fold, and refold the doily.

I keep working "each side" with successively smaller doilies to create the "swag" effect.

Make sure you leave enough ribbon or string so you can secure your banner when complete

Completed Banner - ready for customization! Add a message or whatever.

I finished this banner with a wire edge bow at each end,
You can add balloons, flowers, etc!

Have fun with this one!
